IDEAS Autism Centre was privileged to have DYMM Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud, Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting event of Sensory Garden on Tuesday, April 30th. KPJ University has received an invitation to attend the launch of the Sensory Garden located at the IDEAS Autism Centre in Nilai. Launching the Sensory Garden at IDEAS Autism Centre Nilai is a significant milestone in providing comprehensive care for children with autism spectrum disorders.

The garden has been designed with variety of sensory and therapeutic elements, offering a wonderful way to provide a calming and engaging environment. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) may experience hypersensitivities or hyposensitivities to various stimuli, which can make navigating the world overwhelming. As a therapeutic oasis, the concept of a sensory garden offers a harmonious blend of nature’s elements tailored to the unique sensory needs of individuals with autism.
