Course Summary
Radiation is extremely hazardous to human body. For this reason, its application is subjected to very stringent rules and regulations imposed by the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB). AELB requires all radiation personnel not only to be trained initially, but also to continuously refresh their knowledge in the subject after from time to time. This course is are intended for individuals who require basic awareness and safety information regarding radiation hazards in their workplace, especially in the healthcare settings.
Objectives :
At the end of the course, participants would be able to:
• Understand on the rationale to apply the best practices of protection against radiation risks and accidents
• Refresh their current knowledge and understanding of ionising radiation and their hazards and risks to the health
• Update the latest development related to the reinforcement of Act 304
