History of KPJMJ
KPJ Medical Journal (KPJMJ) is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes quality research on all aspects of medical, healthcare and the biomedical sciences, focusing on research with clinical importance. The Journal aims to be the preferred platform for updated medical and healthcare studies and commentary in the Asian region. KPJMJ has published original research, clinical case reports, reviews and educational articles, brief reports together with commentaries and annotations on standards of clinical practice, and on social, lab work, ethical, legal and other issues related to health care since 2003. With the support of Research Management Centre of KPJ Healthcare University (KPJU), KPJMJ is expanding from the print-only-journal to electronic open access journal in 2018. Access Policy
The Journal does not charge any access fee but healthcare practitioners, scholars and students must register to gain access to the website

Focus and Scope
The Journal encourages submissions of original research from a wide range of healthcare aspects with research results to the improvement of healthcare practices and curricula. It also welcomes contributions of review articles, full articles, letter to editor and preliminary works for documentation purposes. Annually, KPJMJ would publish a Special Issue on a selected theme or event, where a group of articles will be put together and edited by Guest Editors

Peer Review Process
All articles will be double blind-refereed by experts in the field before a decision is made to publish.

There are no publication fees for the issue.

Copyright Notice
Authors are encouraged to make the accepted version of their manuscripts available in their personal (Google Scholar, ResearchGate) or institutional repositories. Fill in the online form to request permission to re-use KPJMJ-owned content.

• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
• The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
• Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
• The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
• The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
