A graduate with a BSc. in Computer Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and a MSc. in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Normilah’s journey in academia is a testament to her unwavering commitment to quality education. Her initial foray into the professional realm as a Systems Engineer at New Straits Times Technology showcased her technological prowess, but it was her profound passion for education that led to a seamless transition to higher learning. While serving as Deputy Dean, Normilah played a crucial role in the development of four new academic programmes for the School of Business and Management. Her leadership extends beyond task completion; she spearheaded the creation of programmes at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including a specialized track for Open and Distance Learning (ODL), contributing significantly to their establishment and success. Her recent promotion to Senior Lecturer is a merited recognition of her unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
