Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Lokman Saim is the Vice Chancellor of KPJ Healthcare University College. He is an ENT surgeon, with sub-specialization in Otology and Neuro-otology – an expert in the management of diseases of the ear including surgery of the inner ear and areas of the brain that is involved in balance and hearing.  He was formerly Professor of Otorhinolaryngology and Dean Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Lokman Saim is Past President  of  the ASEAN Otorhinolaryngological- Head and Neck Federation (1997 -1998). He is also an the Editorial Board of ASEAN Journal of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery from 1996 and served as  journal reviewer (ORL) for the Medical Journal of Malaysia since 1992. He is a member of College of Surgeons and Fellow of Academy of Medicine of Malaysia since 1995. He was President Malaysian Society of ORL – Head & Neck Surgeon in the year 1995 and President of Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia, 1994-1996.

Throughout his career he has won numerous awards including Anugerah Dekan Fakultas Kedokteran, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung Indonesia in 2010, International Public Service Award, American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Foundation in 2016, Honorary Fellow, Philippines Society of  Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeons 2016 and National Outstanding Educator Award (University Category) Private Education Excellence Award 2018 .

He received his Medical Degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1984 and his Master of Surgery (ORL) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1991. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons Edinburgh in the year 1989 . He also obtained his Diploma in Islamic Studies Kulliyah of Revealed Knowledge from the International Islamic University in 1993. In the year 1994, he undertook the  Research Fellowship  in Otology and Neuro-otology at Harvard Medical School, Boston USA.
