Zaliza Mohamed

Puan Zaliza Mohamed is a highly qualified and experienced professional in the field of nursing and nursing education. She is an alumna of KPJ Healthcare University, having graduated with a Diploma in Nursing in 1999. Her commitment to advancing her knowledge and skills led her to pursue further education with the University of South Australia (UniSA). There, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Professional Certificate in Nursing Education, and Certificate in Critical Care Nursing. Her academic journey reached its pinnacle with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. Currently, she is actively pursuing a Doctorate program in Business Administration with UTM.

With an impressive 24 years of experience in both clinical practice and nursing education, Puan Zaliza has cultivated a specialized expertise in Critical Care Nursing. Her career journey includes significant roles at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital, where she served as an Infection Control Nurse, Bariatric Nurse Coordinator, and Quality Officer. Subsequently, she transitioned into the academic realm, contributing her wealth of knowledge and practical experience to KPJ Healthcare University College.

In her academic roles, Puan Zaliza has undertaken various responsibilities. She started as a Lecturer in charge of cohort 38 Diploma in Nursing and also took on the coordination of Post Basic Critical Care Nursing programs. Her dedication and capabilities were quickly recognized, leading to her appointment as the Program Coordinator of Post Basic Programmes, overseeing Critical Care, Paediatric, Renal, Midwifery, and Peri-Operative programs. Her involvement expanded further as she immersed herself in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Puan Zaliza has been instrumental in the academic curriculum development for all programs within the School of Nursing. She actively participated in the program accreditation process, ensuring the highest standards in nursing education. In May 2017, she took on the additional responsibility of managing KPJIC Johor Bahru Branch, showcasing her leadership capabilities.

Currently, Puan Zaliza holds the esteemed position of Chief Executive cum Principal of KPJIC Johor Bahru. Her multifaceted career reflects a commitment to excellence in both clinical practice and nursing education, making her a valuable asset to the healthcare and education sectors.
