    • 2. Applicants must be 18 years or older and not receive assistance or loans from any other party
    • 3. Eligible for first-semester financial aid only upon receiving an offer to a local public or private higher education institution
    • 4. Per-capita household income must not exceed RM800 per dependent, including the head of the family

    • 2. Must apply within the first year of study (first-year Diploma, Degree, Masters, PhD)
    • 3. Household income ≤ RM4,000/month
    • 4. Use the PK-PSUKNS-31 form fully completed
    • 5. FELDA children must also complete the FELDA Educational Assistance Qualification Form
    • 6. Form must be certified by one of the following: ADUN, MP, Penghulu, MPKK/KRT Chair, or government officer

    One-off living aid provided once per first-year admission:

    • 3. Must be enrolled or offered a place in any public or private institution recognized by the Malaysian government (including KPJ Healthcare University)
    • 4. Application must be made within 3 months from the date of registration
    • 5. Must not be receiving other monthly education sponsorships covering more than 50% of fees

  • Skim Dana Ehsan Pendidikan (SDEP)

    Objective

    A one-off financial assistance fund by Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM) to help Bumiputera students in financial difficulty continue full-time tertiary studies without disruption, ensuring academic success and graduation.

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Must be Malaysian Bumiputera
    • 2. Family income ≤ RM 3,000/month
    • 3. Must have offer letter in a recognised higher education institution (Diploma, Degree, Master’s, etc.)
    • 4. Provided once per study, typically for covering tuition arrears or living costs
    • 5. Approval is subject to YPM management and available funds

    How to Apply

    • 1. Applications are to be made directly to YPM

  • Zakat Selangor – Bantuan Dermasiswa Pengajian Tinggi (BDPT)

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Open to registered asnaf Fakir, Miskin, Muallaf under Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS)
    • 2. Applicant must be Malaysian, Muslim, and from a low-income household (B40/M40)
    • 3. Must have received an offer letter to study full-time in IPT (Diploma, Foundation, Matriculation, Degree, Master’s), either in-territory or overseas
    • 4. One-time assistance is provided per level of study (e.g., only once during Diploma or Degree)
    • 5. Applications are available via the LZS Education Portal
    • 6. Additional aid such as accommodation, books, pocket money, and flight claims (for Sabah/Sarawak) may also be available

  • Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Assistance for underprivileged Sarawakian Muslim students admitted into local or overseas higher education institutions:
      • – Diploma, First Degree, or Master’s programmes
      • – Overseas support limited to First Degree and Master’s only
    • 2. Must be Muslim and Sarawakian resident
    • 3. Must hold a valid offer letter from the institution of study
    • 4. Applicants must not yet be enrolled in the programme – application is open within 40 days of registration
    • 5. Must study full-time
    • 6. Applications submitted more than 3 months after registration will be rejected
    • 7. Not eligible if receiving employer sponsorship or financial support covering 50% or more of study cost

    Students must apply directly via Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak

    • 1. Obtain the application form immediately after receiving your offer letter

  • Yayasan Sarawak – Hadiah Galakan ke IPT (HGIPT)

    About the Award

    Hadiah Galakan ke IPT is a one-time incentive by Yayasan Sarawak awarded to eligible Sarawakian students enrolling in recognised Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree programmes at public or private higher education institutions (IPTA/IPTS).
    This award is not a scholarship or loan, but a financial encouragement grant to support initial entry into higher education.

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Must be a Sarawakian – either the student or at least one parent is born in Sarawak or holds a Sarawak IC (MyKad 13 or K)
    • 2. Open to students enrolled in full-time Diploma or Degree programmes
    • 3. Programme must be MQA-accredited
    • 4. Only for first-time enrolment at each level (Diploma or Degree)
    • 5. Application must be submitted within 6 months from the date of registration
    • Not eligible if:
      • – Studying part-time or via distance learning
      • – Already receiving a full sponsorship (e.g., JPA, MARA, full PTPTN)

    Students must apply directly through Yayasan Sarawak’s official portal: https://yayasansarawak.org.my and navigate to “Online Application” under the “Scholarships” section.

    Submit all required supporting documents:

  • Mahasiswa Anak Perak

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Applicant and at least one parent must be born in Perak, or have resided in Perak for 10+ years
    • 2. Must be Malaysian citizens
    • 3. Enrolled or accepted into full-time Diploma, Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD programmes at IPTA/IPTS (MQA-approved)
    • 4. Applications are limited to one aid per study level and must be submitted within 6 months of programme start
    • 5. Priority given to children of civil servants or uniformed personnel, with at least 10 years’ residency in Perak
    • 6. Ineligible if parents are non-Malaysian

    Level of Study & Amount

    Perak’s Education Fund (Pinjaman Pengajian Tinggi Negeri Perak) offers interest-free renewable loans for all the above levels, covering tuition and related education costs

  • MAIPk – Dermasiswa Pendidikan

    Dermasiswa Pendidikan is an educational assistance programme offered by Majlis Agama Islam dan ‘Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk) to eligible students from the asnaf category, pursuing full-time studies at local institutions of higher learning. This award is provided through zakat funds and is intended to support underprivileged students in gaining access to higher education. It is not a loan or scholarship, but a one-time financial aid.

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Must be a Perakian – either born in Perak or currently residing in Perak with official verification
    • 2. Applicant must fall under the asnaf category (fakir, miskin, fisabilillah) as defined by MAIPk
    • 3. Open to students enrolled in full-time programmes at local higher education institutions (public or private)
    • 4. Priority is given to students pursuing Islamic Studies, but other fields may also be considered
    • 5. Only one application is allowed per level of study
    • 6. Only applicable to Malaysian citizens studying in Malaysia
    • 7. Not eligible if: Studying part-time or distance learning AND Already receiving full sponsorship or assistance from other zakat bodies

  • TAPEM Melaka

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Financial aid is offered to “Melaka native” students pursuing studies at Institut Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) with the following criteria:
    • 2. Applicant or their parent was born in Melaka
    • 3. Resides in Melaka and is a registered voter
    • 4. Has been accepted into an IPT (Diploma, Degree, Master, or PhD)
    • 5. Applications must be made within six months from the date of registration at the IPT
    • 6. Applicants are eligible only once per level (e.g., first-time Diploma or Degree)
    • 7. Priority given to applicants whose parents are civil servants or uniformed services and have resided in Melaka for at least 10 years, certified by employer
    • 8. Applicants whose parents are not Malaysian citizens are not eligible

    Terms of Application

    • Parent / Guardian (one) must be a registered voter in the Penang.
    • Household income (basic salary including fixed allowance) does not exceed RM8,000.00.
    • Only students who are offered the Full Time Program are eligible to apply. Students who are offered Off-campus Programs, Distance Education Programs, Nursing and Basic / Matriculation Programs are not eligible to apply. Students for Premier Polytechnic offers are also not eligible to apply
    • The supporting documents must be certified by the District Officer / Headmaster of the Government Full Aid School / Lecturer / Professor / University Registrar / Attorney-General / Member of Parliament / Member of State Legislature / Member of Council of Local Authorities / Government Officers of Management and Professional Group / Head of State only.
    • Assistance only involves admission to IPTA (as approved by MQA) and IPTS (approved by MMK) to pursue Diploma or Bachelor Degree courses only.
    • This assistance is only provided once in a lifetime whether the application is for Diploma or Bachelor Degree only. If a student has been approved for a Diploma Degree, the student is no longer eligible to apply for a postgraduate study.
    • Applicants can be students / parents / guardians.
    • The decision to grant assistance is final and any appeal will not be considered.
    • Failure to submit supporting documents before the closing date for submission of the form will be rejected and any appeal will not be considered.

  • Sabah State Government Sponsorship Portal (PTPS)

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Malaysian citizens from Sabah or the Federal Territory of Labuan
    • 2. Aged 17 years old and above
    • 3. At least one parent must be originally from Sabah or Labuan
    • 4. Sponsorship available for Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree programmes
    • 5. Programme must be offered at local higher education institutions recognized by the State Government of Sabah

    Degree Applicants

    • 1. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade B in four (4) subjects related to the intended course of study
    • 2. OR passed Matriculation with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
    • 3. OR passed Foundation with at least CGPA 3.50
    • 4. Applicants for Medicine, Dentistry, or Pharmacy must achieve at least CGPA 3.50 at STPM, Diploma, or Matriculation level

    Diploma Applicants

    • 1. Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least a C grade in five (5) subjects, including Bahasa Melayu
    • 2. Subjects must be relevant to the intended diploma programme
    • 3. Must have honours in English for institutions where the medium of instruction is English

  • JPA Program Khas Lepasan SPM (LSPM)

    KPJU is pleased to support students eligible for the JPA Program Khas Lepasan SPM (LSPM) — a prestigious financial sponsorship by the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) for outstanding Malaysian students.

    This programme offers a convertible education loan to high-achieving SPM leavers, allowing them to pursue preparatory studies and undergraduate degrees at approved institutions in Malaysia.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • 1. Must be a Malaysian citizen
    • 2. Scored 9A+ or more in the most recent SPM examination
    • 3. Accepted into a Bachelor’s Degree programme at KPJU or other approved local institutions
    • 4. Sponsorship is applicable to Pharmacy programmes at KPJU

    What’s Covered

    • 1. Sponsorship includes preparatory programme (e.g., Foundation, Asasi) and First Degree studies
    • 2. Covers tuition fees, living allowance, and academic-related costs
    • 3. Disbursed based on study progress and compliance with JPA’s academic requirements

    Terms of Application

    The Program Khas Lepasan SPM (LSPM) is a sponsorship programme for high-achieving SPM students who have obtained at least 9A+ in their SPM examination, regardless of the grades for other subjects, to pursue studies at universities within Malaysia.

    • 1. Sponsorship is provided through a Renewable Loan (Pinjaman Boleh Ubah – PBU) covering preparatory and undergraduate studies
    • 2. This sponsorship is applicable for the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme only at KPJU
    • 3. Effective June 2025, the loan repayment rate is determined based on academic performance (CGPA)

    Academic-Based Repayment Rates:

    CGPA Achieved Repayment Rate
    CGPA ≥ 3.75 5% of total loan
    CGPA 3.50 – 3.74 10% of total loan
    CGPA 3.00 – 3.49 15% of total loan
    CGPA ≥ 3.00 (with extension) 20% of total loan
    CGPA < 3.00 or no graduation 100% (full repayment)

    Note: Full exemption applies to Pharmacy graduates who serve in the public sector.

  • Financing-I Bank Rakyat

    KPJU is pleased to collaborate with Bank Rakyat to offer Education Financing-i, a Shariah-compliant financing facility designed to support students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at KPJU.

    Terms of Application

    • 1. Open to Malaysian citizen
    • 2. Age between 18 to 70 years old at the end of financing tenure
    • 3. Minimum monthly income of RM2,000
    • 4. Takaful coverage
    • 5. Application can be made by the student or their immediate family member with a fixed income

    Financing Features

    • 1. Financing amount: up to RM250,000
    • 2. Financing tenure: up to 20 years (inclusive of grace period)
    • 3. Grace Period based on the duration of studies or maximum four (4) years; whichever comes first
    • 4. Takaful coverage is optional
    • 5. Guarantor is required
    • 6. Disbursement is done by semester and payment is made directly to KPJU

  • Affin Islamic Education Financing-I

    KPJ has a mutual agreement with Affin Islamic Bank to provide an alternative source of financing to students.

    Note: A maximum financing amount of RM600,000 is eligible for Medical programmes only. This covers tuition fees, accommodation, and other academic-related costs.

    Terms of Application

    The scholarship from KPJ Hospitals is offered to excellent students (diploma/degree) who performs in their academic and co-curricular activities.

    • Scholarship is awarded during the 2nd and 3rd year studies whereby it covers the tuition fee as well as monthly stipends.
    • Qualified students will be invited to submit their resume/results through Financial Aid Unit.
