Microbiology & Parasitology (BNMS 1224)
This course enables the students to acquire general knowledge on the types of pathogens (bacteria, fungus, virus and parasites) its characteristics and its effect s in the human body. This is followed by the modes of infection, diagnosis, treatment and control. The practical sessions introduced the students to the principles and practice of diagnostic microbes and parasites.
Anatomy & Physiology 2, Biochemistry ( BNMS 1214)
This module emphasizes the concepts and functions of Anatomy and physiology of various systems in the human body and Biochemistry. Also it includes vitamins, minerals, enzymes, micronutrients, macronutrients and the metabolism of macronutrients such as carbohydrates, lipids and protein in human body and helps the students to understand the role of micro and macronutrients as well as various laboratory investigations related to biochemical studies
Fundamental of Nursing 3 (BNNS 1233)
This course consist of basic elements of body functional requirement i.e. firstly, thirst, hormones, medications and hydration levels. Secondly, is about Asepsis on Fluid & Electrolyte Balance (F&E Balance) for body functioning. Students will be exposed to the theory, practices and strategies on the intervention to stop the spread of infection. Lastly, is about basic introduction of perioperative care including pre-operative care, intra operative, and post-operative care. Students also will be exposed to the theory of pain management in patient.
Ethics & Law in Nursing (BNBS 1242)
This course provides knowledge on management and leadership which will include the concepts of change, team building, effective staffing and quality management. The components on medico legal and ethics are included to strengthen the impact of managerial and leadership roles
Pharmacology for Nurses (BNMS 1254)
This course enable the learner to obtain information on current drugs and routes used to treat infection and disorders. This course includes the basic concepts of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetic. Information on currently used drug to treat infection and disorder of various system of the body and the application of nursing process in drug administration is introduced.
Clinical Practice 2 (BNCP 1263)
This course of clinical practice provides students with knowledge and skills basic applied to client care 3. Students will hands on experience in providing care follow the principles of practice nursing care
