Managerial Accounting (BGAC 1023)
This course is designed to provide students with knowledge of three
critical management functions: planning, controlling, and decision
making. The training emphasises four major pillars of management
accounting broad functions: budgetary planning, cost discovery, cost
and profit analysis, and performance reporting. Students will be
trained in cost accounting, which includes how to collect and use
data to cost services and goods using multiple approaches,
policymaking, operational budgeting, and performance evaluation, as
well as an update on recent advances in the field. This enables
students to make informed decisions that maximise the
company’s profit and, as a result, capitalise on possibilities
to remain successful and relevant in a competitive marketplace. This
course aims to improve students’ understanding of how to
gather, analyse, and convey measurable and non-measurable data to
help management make better planning and control decisions.
Managerial Finance (BGAC 2023)
The course is designed to expose students to various financial
tools, financial markets, financial theories and financial
management techniques to make financial decisions more effectively.
It focuses on three basic finance functions of decisions which are
investment decisions, financial decisions and dividend decisions.
Students will be guided to see the whole aspect of financial element
that contributes to a company’s overall growth significantly
such as profits, losses, cash flow and revenue generation in an
organisation. The main areas of these subjects are capital
budgeting, capital financing and working capital management. The
topic that will be covered such as financial statement analysis;
financial forecasting; working capital management and short-term
borrowing; cost of capital; capital budgeting and risk. This aim is
to give the best experience for students to analyse financial
situations and offer the best solutions to financial management
problems while applying the theoretical concepts to a range of
investment and financing decisions making.
Managerial Economics (BGAD 2063)
The course is aimed to focus on the present challenges in the
healthcare system, such as healthcare costs, quality, and access,
prospective system reform techniques, and projecting future trends
in the healthcare business. It will also help participants grasp the
major concepts, terminologies, issues, and challenges involved with
the healthcare business, as well as the techniques used to overcome
some of these challenges. The topics will include issues in
healthcare management, as well as management and leadership in the
context of health and social care. This will prepare students to be
future leaders in the healthcare system, able to integrate theory
and practice while also being adaptable and flexible in their
management. This course seeks to provide a conceptual and complete
grasp of the leader’s responsibility in terms of optimal
resource management and utilisation in an ever-changing and
difficult healthcare environment.
Management Information Systems (BGAK 1063)
This course is designed to explore the ways to effectively manage
corporate, business, and operational strategies in order to gain a
competitive advantage for business organisations. Students are
exposed to a repertoire of current information and communication
technologies that are used to facilitate business processes in the
present-day and they would acquire various concepts of information
and communication technologies solutions and are expected to
manifest its application during work venture. Students in this
course will learn and apply strategy concepts at the business and
corporate levels which the aims are to execute the legal aspect of
confidentiality, to forecast appropriate funding and to increase
earning. The aim of the course is to enable students to development
of strategic thinking enables students to approach complex
organisational scenarios and opportunities from a broader
perspective, particularly in the context of business globalisation
and business operational strategies as they relate to the
organization’s overall corporate strategies.
Marketing Management (BGAB 1033)
This course is designed to assist students from general business or
management-related disciplines in becoming creative marketing
professionals who can influence strategic choices in the development
of marketable goods and services. The concept and approach are based
on the marketing mix which includes product, price, place, promotion
and other P’s that are relevant to the industry. Students are
introduced to dynamic concepts and tools for effective business
marketing in order to ensure that the intended positioning and
communication campaigns reach the target audience and meet their
needs and expectations. This knowledge will vastly apply by students
in the evaluation of markets, targeting of market opportunities,
assessment of buyer behaviour and the role of market information via
group discussion and assessments. This course aims to provide
student an in-depth understanding of marketing from both an academic
and practitioner’s perspective, empowering student to approach
marketing difficulties in a critical, inventive and creative manner.
Operations Management (BGAK 1073)
This course is designed with a broad variety of subject areas, all
of which are intertwined with the most recent advancements in the
field of operation management. These topics include process analysis
with various flows, process improvement, lean operations, quality
and statistical process control, as well as a range of other issues.
In addition to this, students will investigate aspects of a
company’s competitiveness, strategy, and productivity in
relation to the management of supply chains, inventories, service
systems, and forecasts. Students will also be equipped with
knowledge to inspect the relevance of good inventory management
practises. This course is aimed to prepare students to lead the
administration of business practices by creating the highest level
of efficiency possible within an organization. Students will become
familiar with current business issues, short cases and
application-oriented case studies, formulating strategies in
organisations, reacting to changes in the organization’s
environment, and harnessing and developing the organization’s
internal resources and capabilities.
Human Resource Management (BGAA 2073)
This course will discuss the significance of Human Resource
Management as the department within an organisation that primarily
concerned with the recruitment and management of the people who work
for the organisation. Strategic HR management is required to ensure
that the role of human resource management as the change agent for
the organisation is carried out effectively for an organisation to
be able to positively respond to the transformation that is
occurring within the healthcare system. Global sourcing, employer
and employee branding, personnel retention, and succession planning
will be the primary focuses of this course. Students will also learn
on conflict resolution that are faced by corporate leaders and HR
executives. The aim of this course is to foster healthy work culture

Strategic Management (BGAE 2033)
This course is designed to explore business, corporate, and global
strategies and equips students with the knowledge they need to
comprehend how businesses achieve and uphold competitive advantage.
It also aids students to develop the leadership skills they will
need to succeed in the future as leaders who can make well-informed
strategic decisions. This is to ponder the function of businesses,
their governance, and their responsibilities to shareholders,
stakeholders, and society at large. The general subtopics to be
covered include the relationship of organizations to their
environments, organizational objectives, formal and informal
approaches to strategic planning, the role of organizational
structure in the context of strategy formulation and implementation,
and the mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness
of strategic decisions. The course aims generally to equip students
with internal and external analysis in strategy management process
and integrates the theory of empirical research and practical
implementations on the strategic leadership principles.
