- Describe the importance of nursing documentation and identify the essential components of documentation to meet professional nursing standards.
- Describe how nursing documentation has shifted towards electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Identify the legalities of nursing documentation.
- Recognize common documentation errors, contributing factors, and ‘do not use’ medical abbreviation.
