ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Malaysian students:

  • Registered with NBM or its equivalent, and
  • Qualified with Diploma In Nursing (Tahap 4, Kerangka Kelayakan Malaysia), and
  • Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC), and
  • MINIMUM 1 year working experience as general nurse, and
  • At least 3 months working experience in Haemodialysis or Renal Unit

Health Status :

  • Student must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner recognized by the recruiting institution.
  • Student with the following medical conditions, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B or C, any mental health disorders, Epilepsy and other chronic diseases cannot admitted into the programme.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

This module of 2 credit hour will cover all part of urinary system and its function. This is to give a clear picture to students regarding the structure of urinary system and the system involves to ensure the living process.

This module of 2 credit hour covers aspects in behavioral sciences to enable the students to better understand their clients and thus provide care to meet their needs pertaining to patients with altered renal condition.

This module of 3 credit hour is designed to increase knowledge, skills and attitude in caring for patients in nephrology (acute or chronic) and urology.

This module of 3 credit hour is designed to provide knowledge, skill and inculcate positive attitude in the students in preparing them to function effectively in the aspects of peritoneal dialysis and renal transplant

This module of 4 credit hour is designed to provide knowledge, skill and inculcate positive attitude in the students in preparing them to function effectively in the aspects of haemodialysis. 

This module of 6 credit hour is designed to provide knowledge, skills and attitude, and to update and strengthen knowledge base reflected to nursing care of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease patients.
