ChM. Afiq Azil, MRSC

He is a registered chemist accredited by the Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) and holds membership in the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the UK.

He was awarded a scholarship by the Public Service Department of Malaysia (JPA) and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) to pursue his B.Sc in Applied Chemistry and M.Sc in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Malaya (UM). At UM, he served as a research associate and academic tutor for almost 3 years. Additionally, he completed a brief research attachment at Kindai University in Higashi-Osaka, Japan, to further his studies in the field of metal complex magnetism.

Before joining KPJU in 2016, he gained experience working in a research and development laboratory for local pharmaceutical manufacturing giant, Pharmaniaga, where he was responsible for ensuring compliance with stringent guidelines set by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA).

 His areas of expertise encompass the synthesis of innovative compounds, pharmaceutical analysis, cheminformatics, and drug discovery. He has also published his research in peer-reviewed journals and presented his findings at various conferences.
