About | Professor Dr. Norhayati Mohd Zain is a Professor in Medical Imaging (MI) Department, at KPJ Healthcare University College (KPJUC). She obtained her Bachelor Degree of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in year 2007. She obtained her Master in Health Sciences (Diagnostic Imaging) in 2014 and PhD (Diagnostic Imaging) in 2019 also from UKM. She had been with KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital as a Radiographer from 2007 to 2008. Prof Norhayati joined MI Department, KPJUC in year 2008. She has contributed to the development of the Medical Imaging Program and Curriculum in KPJUC. She was the Coordinator of Diploma Program from 2008 to 2011, Coordinator of Post Basic Program in 2012, Coordinator of Continuous Professional Development Program from 2014 to 2016, Coordinator of Master Program in 2016, Research Coordinator from 2015 to 2019, Deputy Dean of School of Health Sciences cum Head of MI Department from 2017 to 2019 and Director of Research Management Centre from 2019 to 2023. She has been appointed as the External Examiner for the Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Engineering & Life Sciences, University Selangor (2019-2021) and the External Assessor for Bachelor of Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging, Kuliyyah of Allied Health Science, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) (2020-2022). She is also the Sub-Committee appointed by the Ministry of Health to evaluate the qualifications of radiographers for the Diagnostic Radiography Profession (2020-2023 & 2023 – 2025). She is also appointed by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) as the Panel Evaluator for the Medical Imaging Program (Jan 2023 – Dec 2024). She is experienced in breast imaging and breast cancer research activities, as well as research related to teaching and learning. She has been awarded with number of internal university research grants. She has published number of original and review articles related to her field in national and international index journals. She has conducted a number of community service activities related to breast cancer awareness nationally since 2018. She has also been invited as a speaker for national breast imaging workshops since 2019. She has contributed one article in the press pertaining to Breast Cancer Screening Awareness in the New Norm (Berita Harian, 2020) to raise awareness among Malaysian women and has been granted a Certificate of Copyright for literary work entitled Educational Program on Knowledge of Breast Self-Examination from Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyiPO). |
